Firestone Pale 31 Picmonkey

Pale 31

Firestone-Walker Brewery

Paso Robles, California

Style: California Pale Ale

Alcohol: 4.9%

IBUs: 38

Serving Style: 12-ounce cans, 12 and 22-ounce bottles and kegs (our sample from draft)

Availability: Throughout the West and most of the U.S.

Appearance:   “Color is a lighter shad of golden. Good white head that seems long-lasting.”

Aroma:   “Citrus and some floral notes. Maybe a little toasty malt.”

Taste:   “This is really a zesty mouthful. It’s bright and crisp. Can’t identify the hops (there may be quite a variety of them), but they play their role without becoming overbearing. Finishes crisply and cleanly, yet leaves a delicious taste lingering in the mouth. I love it.”

Food Affinity:   “Would go with a lot of decent bar food, but it’s special enough I’d pour it with seared ahi, accompanied by a wasabi aioli.”
