TASTE News Service, January 12, 2018 – Lodi's Wine & Chocolate Weekend returns to celebrate its 21st year on February 10 and 11.

The weekend provides an opportunity to sip a diverse selection of Lodi wines and sample sweet and savory chocolate bites while visiting more than 50 Lodi appellation wineries.

Ticket holders can look forward to receiving a complimentary chocolate treat from BRIX Chocolate and a chance to win prizes, including a Lodi Wine Country weekend getaway, by searching for a "golden ticket" sticker. BRIX Chocolate returns for the sixth year as the weekend's official chocolate sponsor. The chocolatier combines red fruit-toned, single-origin Ghanian chocolate with the highest quality confectionery chocolate to create specific blends that evoke subtle flavors and nuances in different varietals of wine, thus complementing the wine rather than competing against it.

"Lodi Wine & Chocolate Weekend has been a quintessential event for anyone who enjoys indulging in top-quality wine and chocolate," said Wendy Brannen, Executive Director of the Lodi Winegrape Commission. "Not only will there be an array of exceptional wines to taste, but also a fun, festive atmosphere you won't want to miss."

Weekend activities include live music, such as The Bob Stanley Band on Saturday and Frankie & Camp on Sunday at Heritage Oak Winery, and Andrew Castro on Saturday and Xochite on Sunday at PRIE Winery. Cowgirl artist and acclaimed bootmaker Valerie Coe will have her work featured at LangeTwins Winery. Food delicacies include bites of chocolate-covered baklava at Omega Cellars; chocolate chili and wine-infused ice cream at Harney Lane Winery; fresh, hot churros with thick, Spanish-style hot chocolate at Bokisch Vineyards, and so much more.
