TASTE News Service, July 5, 2018 - When most people hear the words Silicon Valley, they picture buildings full of software engineers in cubicles, social media companies.

Or in some cases, they picture the HBO series named, you guessed it, "Silicon Valley". Nonetheless, that mental image does not do the area justice.

Yes, there are numerous forward thinking “brains” and entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley, but a big reason so many CEO's opt to locate their headquarters here is because of the area's incredible scenic beauty. “Techies”, biotech employees and savvy visitors recognize that the San Mateo County/Silicon Valley area is among the world's most scenic. With 30 miles of San Francisco Bayfront and nearly 60 miles of Pacific Ocean waterfront, the area has spectacular views.

This biotech/high tech hub has over 70% of its land designated as dedicated open space. In addition to the Pacific and Bay views, the area boasts endless hiking and biking trails, a National Historic Landmark (Filoli Mansion and Gardens), giant redwoods, restaurants featuring locally grown produce, endless activities and world class museums.
