TASTE News Service, May 12, 2020 – The Meritage Resort and Spa and it’s neighboring sister property, Vista Collina Resort, have announced their weekly Live on The Lawn outdoor community gatherings.

Taking place on an outdoor venue adjacent to Vista Collina Resort, Live on The Lawn aims to bring the Napa Valley community together with live music, a food truck, a cocktail bar and wine tastings in a sprawling environment every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The program kicks off the Fourth of July Weekend on Friday, July 3. The event will continue through Labor Day Weekend September 7th.

“Now more than ever Napa Valley is craving a community gathering place where both local residents and guests can safely come together to celebrate everything that our region is world-renowned for,” said David Ryan, managing director of Meritage Resort and Vista Collina Resort.  “We’re proud of our designation as a tourist destination resort, but we’re equally honored to serve as a meeting place for our own Napa Valley community.”

In addition to enjoying local musicians on The Lawn, attendees can indulge in Meritage’s signature food truck, directed by its Executive Chef Vincent Lesage.  The food truck’s menu will range from Far East Burritos and Korean Tacos to Sliders, Cubanos and North Shore BBQ.  Additionally, the Vintner’s Room will be transformed into a “to-go” cocktail bar with open garage doors on either side, creating an extra open space for guests to socialize.

Attendees can also revel in the diverse amenities the resorts provide, such as on-site, al fresco dining at Olive & Hay Restaurant and Fivetown Grocery, wine tastings at on-site tasting rooms including Trinitas Cellars, Foley Family Wines, Jayson by Pahlmeyer and Luna Vineyards, as well as the microbrewery Napa Smith Brewery.

Meritage Resort and Vista Collina Resort report they are working closely with the Napa County and California State authorities to adhere to strict social distancing and sanitization protocols for Live on The Lawn gatherings.  Guests are welcome to bring their own picnic blanket, utensils, glassware, etc., but no outside food and beverage is permitted.  More about Live on the Lawn can be found at https://meritagecollection.com/vista-collina/special-events/live-on-the-lawn.
